# Ascend joins UN Global Compact

We are pleased to announce that Ascend Performance Materials has joined the United Nations Global Compact. We are proud to join the thousands of other organizations committed to aligning their operations with the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact and the Global Goals.

As a participant of the UN Global Compact, Ascend has committed to develop, implement and disclose responsible business practices in the areas of human rights, labor, environment and anti-corruption.

“We are committed to operating sustainably and have invested heavily to ensure that we are meeting our purpose of improving the quality of life today and inspiring a better tomorrow,” said Chris Johnson, director of sustainability at Ascend. “Joining the UN Global Compact ensures that our efforts are in line with global standards and provides us with an opportunity to learn from our peers and experts as our efforts evolve.”

Ascend will submit its first annual communication on progress to the UN Global Compact in August 2022.
